Flower Pounding

Have you ever pounded flowers?
It's a fun technique that twins Ann Frischkorn and Amy Sandrin teach.

It's noisy but great fun!

When my mom died in 2003, my siblings and I were given a bouquet of flowers from the funeral, I decided to pound the flowers and make a quilt in memory of my mom.

I'll use a pigma pen to add detail to the flowers and leaves.

I haven't made the quilt yet, but don't the blocks look cool!

Ann and Amy were kind enough to post instructions on how to do this procedure HERE.

Tape the pedals and leaves to masking tape and then tap tap tap with your hammer onto specially treated muslin fabric.
